Job Purpose:
The Deputy Head, Training & Career Development is responsible for managing the Banks Career Development activities for the Qatari Nationals, in consultation with the Head of Training. The Deputy Head, Training & Career Development ensures that Training Programs and Career Advancement Plans are in place to meet the Training and Career Development needs of all Qatari Staff in the Bank.
Main Duties:
Develops structured Career Development Policies & Procedures / Programs for the Qatari Nationals, in consultation with the Head of Training
Initiate and Implement Career Development Programs for the Qatari Nationals in order to meet all the Career Development needs of the Qatari Nationals.
Provides assistance to the Head of Training in determining the development needs of all Qatari staff in coordination with the HR Dept. and Department Heads
Provides input to the Head of Training in designing long-term and short-term training programs for Qatari national trainees (university graduates and below) to enhance their banking skills.
Monitors and implements Career Development Plan for Qatari national
Maintains liaison with Qatar Banking Training Institute and coordinates the nominations of Bank staff for courses in QBTI.
Responsible for monitoring and implementing the Executive Management Training Programs for the Qatari Nationals.
Responsible for designing Individual Career Plan (ICP) for the Qatari Staff across all levels.
To ensure a Succession Plan is in place for all Qatari Nationals.
To identify the target position in the Organization Structure which will be filled by the Qatari Staff and design customized developmental programs for the Qatari Staff.
Evaluates the progress of all Career Development programs and draws-up reports for each outcome to measure its effectiveness
Submits periodical MIS reports regarding Career Development Programs of the Qatari Nationals
Prepares annual budget for the Career Development Programs of the Qatari Staff and ensure all Career Development programs conducted are within the approved budget per year.
Keeps abreast of all the latest Career Development techniques and trends in Banking regionally and internationally.
Any other assignment given by the Head of Training
Skills:
University degree in Business / Banking & Finance pref. with experience in Career Development Activities
Min. of 6 years in training / career development , out of which at least 3 years in Banking
High level of English and Arabic communication skills.
Adequate computer application skills
